Lip Blush Aftercare Guide
Lip blush heals differently to brow work — lips swell more and the colour shifts significantly in the first week. Follow these aftercare guidelines for the best result from your Wellington appointment with Kat.
First 24 hours
Expect swelling and intense colour — your lips will look much brighter than the final result. Use a clean damp cloth to dab (not wipe) the area. Avoid kissing, spicy food, hot drinks and alcohol.
Days 2–5
Lips may feel dry and tight. Apply the recommended healing balm thinly — too much can trap bacteria. No lipstick, lip gloss or lip scrubs until Kat confirms you're healed.
Days 5–10
Flaking is normal. The colour underneath will look lighter once flaking finishes — this is expected. The true tone settles over 4 to 6 weeks as deeper pigment shows through.
What to avoid
No swimming, saunas, steam rooms or direct sun on the lips during healing. Avoid dental work if possible for two weeks. If you get a cold sore, contact Kat — antiviral medication may be needed before treatment.
Perfecting session
Kat includes a perfecting session 6 to 8 weeks after your initial lip blush to even out colour and refine the shape once your lips have fully healed.
